Job Description Job Description Qualifications Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing Required Bachelor degree or equivalent - Required CNOR - Preferred Work Experience: Minimum of (5) years RN experience, including a minimum of 2 years as a circulating RN in surgery is Required. One year Post anesthesia care experience - Preferred Previous leadership, supervisory or management experience - Preferred Licensing Requirements: Current California RN license - Required Current AHA BLS - Required Current AHA ACLS - Required Current AHA PALS - Required Language Requirements: Strong written and oral English skills Required Skill Requirements: Maintains composure while recognizing the need for immediate response to true emergencies. Ability to identify and evaluate problems in the surgical department and to implement short-term and long-term solutions. Physical Demands: Must be able to sit and stand/walk for up to 4hours or more per day. Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds 3 to 4 hours per day. Moderate exposure to hazardous waste and chemicals. Special Demands: Ability to supervise and work cooperatively with others. Must be able to delegate duties and maintain efficient standards of operations. Special Considerations: Ability to work effectively with patients, peers, physicians and ancillary departments.
