The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced start-up environment and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity. The role will require an individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and has a passion for delivering high-quality HR services.This position will report to the Head of People & Talent and will work closely with other business support functions.The role will be based in our Los Gatos, CA office location and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.What you will do

  • Manage and administer all employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401(k), and other voluntary benefits in the US
  • Own the onboarding experience for new hires from end-to-end and liaise with internal stakeholders globally to ensure new hires are set up and ready to go on their first day
  • Provide guidance to employees on benefit plan options, enrollment, and eligibility and support the open enrollment process
  • Administer the company's compensation programs, including salary surveys, job evaluations, and merit increases
  • Manage the HRIS system and ensure accurate and timely data entry
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to HR and benefits administration
  • Manage immigration administration activities
  • Conduct new hire orientation sessions and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new employees
  • Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports as needed
  • Act as system admin for HR related systems, including HRIS, benefits, payroll and other related systems
  • Support the HR team with other projects and initiatives as neededWhy you're the right candidate
    • You have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
    • You have 3-5years of general HR experience with specific experience in Benefits and Compensation administration
    • You have experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment
    • You are proficient with HR regulations, including FMLA, ADA, COBRA, and ERISA
    • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • You have solid analytical and problem-solving skills
    • You have the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
    • You have experience with HRIS systems
    • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and working with data sets
    • You are comfortable with ambiguity and able to work in a rapidly changing environmentAdditional experience we'd like to see
      • An HR certification such as SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR, or GPHR is preferred
      • Experience working in the Aerospace & Defense or Space / Satellite industries would be an added advantage
      • Previous experience with the implementation of HRIS / HRMS systems would be advantageous
      • The candidate should have a solid understanding of the unique HR challenges and compliance requirements in these industries, ideally in a start-up contextWe are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used-so we're looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities. If that's your experience - then we'll be immediately wow-ed.The estimated base salary range for this role is $85,000 - 155,000 per year. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position in question, which is based on market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on location, skills and expertise, depth of relevant experience, and other relevant factors.
