As Executive Sous Chef, Culinary Experiences you will be the
visionary creative innovator of all culinary experiences across
campus - Kitchen Table, Common Grounds Caf--, The Teaching Kitchen,
Joanie's Garden, and Private Events. Stellar leadership skills are
required to energize 1440's Culture Principles while developing a
positive work environment that ensures growth and development of
team who help fulfill the organization's mission and vision.
In addition to the assigned duties below, you will ensure delivery
of quality guest experiences, be a positive influence with guests
and colleagues, actively support and respect direction by senior
leadership, be accountable to performance of your job
responsibilities, and ensure adherence to established standards and
protocol throughout campus. As a 1440 leader, you must display
sound business acumen, authentic leadership skills, and proactively
contribute to the success of your department and division's
quantitative and qualitative business goals and fiduciary
responsibilities.

Essential Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience working in a multi-unit organization
known for culinary excellence
Ability to innovate and implement fresh organic plant-forward menu
items and concepts
Vision to establish and maintain a well-balanced nutritious
culinary program
Excellent culinary leadership skills - demonstrated public speaking
ability
Ability to manage external and internal resources to get the job
done
Excellent verbal, written communication, interpersonal, and
training skills
Ability and experience in analysis, KPI's, food cost management,
and kitchen labor
Willingness to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with a
variety of stakeholders
Eager to work in a fast-paced client-facing organization - this is
working position
Maintain a flexible schedule and to adapt to the business needs of
1440 and its guests - mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and
holidays as business demand dictates
Must be able to create and maintain positive relationships at all
levels of service and distribution
Enthusiastic about process improvement and customer service
Must obtain or current hold California Food Handler's Card holder
and TIPS certification
Affinity with 1440 Multiversity's mission and core values
Highly collaborative team player - engage in positive, supportive,
professional relationships
Able work standing and walking for a minimum of 4-8 hours a day
Passionate about advancing education, philanthropy, and community
building
