EXECUTIVE BANQUET CHEF Yountville, CALaying in the heart of Napa

experience for any occasion! JOB SUMMARY:The Executive Chef
oversees the daily operations of the restaurant and hotel kitchens.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDelegate tasks to team and complete
daily check lists that support anticipated business levels,
production, a-la-carte orders, special request, events, dietary
restrictions and ensure team follows proper allergy
procedure.Assists in the selection, supervision, training,
development, scheduling, evaluating, disciplining, and counseling
of staff.Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling,
operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation based on Company
and regulatory standards.Make sure all food products are
consistently prepared and served according to recipes, portioning,
and cooking standards.Inspect the quality of food and assist
kitchen team members with food prep and recipe creation.Prepares
and manages creation of new menu items.Recognizes superior quality
products, presentations, and flavor.Maintains inventory of food and
non-food supplies to stay within established guidelines while
assuring that necessary product is available when needed.Ensures
timely and courteous follow-through on all client, guest, and team
member requests.Investigates and resolves all client/guest
complaints in a timely, professional, diplomatic mannerEnsures all
equipment in the kitchen is properly maintained and in working
order in accordance with local Health department and hotel
standards.Reviews staffing levels to ensure that guest service,
operational needs and financial objectives are met.Interacts with
guests to obtain feedback on food quality, presentation and service
levels.Communicates daily with General Manager for updates,
changes, and revisions to existing contracts.Maintains
communication with all departments to ensure customer service needs
are met.Able to perform additional duties as requested by the hotel
management as and when required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSCulinary
degree preferredBachelor's Degree in Food Services
Technology/Management/or related field preferred3+ years of
experience in culinary, food preparation, kitchen management,
catering and/or people management.Previous experience in
hospitality or related industry preferred.Comprehensive knowledge
of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production,
sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.Able to
effectively manage different stakeholders and be persuasive.Strong
verbal and written communication skills.Ability to communicate on
various levels including management, departmental, customer and
associate.Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and
gathers and analyzes information skillfully.Knowledge of applicable
local state and federal health and safety regulations.Must
demonstrate excellent people skills and a professional, friendly,
and enthusiastic demeanor.The Estate Yountville offers an
