What we are looking forThis newly created position of Manager, eCommerce Merchandising, will lead product and content strategies to maximize online sales and margin. The successful candidate will have the extraordinary opportunity to work with a highly motivated, collaborative and successful eCommerce team that thrives on innovation, testing, failing and constant evolution to create best in class web experiences that align to our highly passionate and loyal customer base. Maintaining the hygiene of our product catalog, including on/off boarding products, personalization, thoughtful product placement and optimization will be core to the role in order to influence site traffic.
What you'll do

  • Optimization of onsite products
  • Develop and execute product and content strategies to drive sales, increase site penetration and basket size including bumping, personalization and add-on's
  • Constant optimization of product detail and category pages to drive conversion and reduce bounce
  • Utilize A/B testing to constantly evolve and iterate the online product and purchase experience
  • Support product and vendor specific marketing campaigns to ensure our customer facing assets are in-sync and customers are aware of the product related messaging
  • Online Catalog Management
  • On and off board products and brands
  • Work with operations and marketing teams on pricing and promotions
  • Maintain and share web analytics and insights on category and product performance
  • Competitive Monitoring
  • Track competitive landscape for pricing, product, content opportunities
  • Suggest and implement quick changes based on competitive landscape
  • Monitor and report on overall market trends and share with broader Aperture team
  • Product Reviews
  • Daily monitoring and approval of product reviews
  • Develop and execute ideas for programs that would drive more product reviews
  • Escalate and suggest solutions for products with consistent negative reviews

    What You will Work On and Who You'll Work WithIf this is you, you will be working on the eCommerce team that created and grew their site to be the saltwater aquatics industry's largest and most successful online marketplace for over 15 years. You'll play a critical role in the continued evolution of our eCommerce footprint to best meet the needs of our growing and diverse customer base, on and off of our core web experience. You'll work very closely with the rest of the passionate eCommerce team as well as with the Marketing and Operations teams.
    What you bring
    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field or an equivalent combination of skills, training and experience
    • 5-7+ years of hands on experience with eCommerce site management systems
    • 5+ years experience with data visuality and reporting on site KPIs
    • 3+ years experience with project management software (e.g. Asana, JIRA, etc)
      Role Requirements
      • Strong analytical and collaboration skills
      • Experience managing platforms such as Google Analytics
      • Ability to manage to top and bottom line targets
      • Ability to communicate proactively with the Leadership Team regarding opportunities
      • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
      • Organized, detail oriented and ability to concentrate on fine detail with interruptions
      • Thrive in a self-directed/motivated entrepreneurial environment
      • Demonstrated ability for planning, organizing and managing projects to meet deadlines
      • Demonstrate ability to interpret and solve tactical problems, resolving problems and issues from experience or using a variety of resources
