The Redwoods was founded in 1972 and operates as a stand-alone care community that supports financial health for seniors by offering HUD financial assistance, Medicare rehabilitation, and Medi-Cal for long-term care. Food Service Worker I and II Responsibilities:Brief Description: Under general supervision, Food Service Workers perform a variety of tasks involved in the serving of food; cleaning and maintaining kitchen utensils, equipment, and work areas; and performing related duties as required. Ability to: use kitchen serving utensils; operate hot food warmer and storage equipment, and dishwashing equipment; use kitchen and floor cleaners and cleaning implements; read and understand security procedures and mixing instructions for cleaners; write legible requests for repairs or supplies; follow and give oral directions, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers. Must be able to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in an active kitchen and dining room environment, maintaining composure and problem-solving capacity under pressure.Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with residents and staff.Will lift food containers weighing up to 35 pounds.
