It is being provided as additional informationto help you better understand the position. Job OverviewSanFrancisco Proper is looking for a Reservations Specialist. The Reservation Specialist will coordinate andcomplete all clerical and data support functions for Sales and Revenue managementas well as convert incoming leisure room reservation sales calls and activelypromote hotel services, amenities, and activations. Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a guest-driven service style witha sense of urgency in all reservation sales interactions and correspondence
• Monitor and respond to guest reservationrequests via email, phone and third-party extra-nets.
• Exhibit competent knowledge of hotelfacilities, services and activations
• Reconcile travel agent commission process inOnyx and CTAC (Marriott Systems).
• Conduct system audits for availability, rateand inventory issues
• Assist with room control process to maximize roomtype revenue
• Assist group sales with monitor of releasedates and room blocking
• Coordinate any special billing arrangementson future reservations as requested or assigned
• Coordinate and verify guest credit cardauthorization for third party payment options
• Update and monitor guest profiles
• Update and monitor the Travel Agent Masterdatabase
• Complete any other guest correspondence as requestedor assigned
• Complete assignments on time, accurately andto specifications as required or requested Qualifications
  • Previous Reservations or Customer Service experience preferred
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic personality with superior guest service skills
  • Excellent English and verbal/written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, INFOR HMS PMS property management system, SynXis central reservations, and DELPHI sales and catering system (a plus)
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and analyze data
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
