Engineering Manager - Customer-Centric Communications Team Front is a hub for customer communication that allows companies to offer tailor-made service at scale. The result is premier, personalized service that scales with your business - and a team that works together as one. - We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to manage our Customer-centric Communications team in San Francisco. Front is uniquely positioned in the CRM space because it is at the center of interactions happening between users and their customers. By integrating CRM data within Front, we can now make interactions more customer aware and build customer-centric workflows. This is a high-caliber, fast moving team that owns Front's CRM strategy. To be successful in this role, you will manage the existing team of talented engineers to deliver on an ambitious roadmap, guide the team through technical decisions, scale this team by attracting and hiring talented engineers and obsessing about making the team and their processes scale efficiently. This is also a very collaborative role where you will interface with other engineering managers in other locations. What will you be doing?

  • Drive and deliver on our product roadmap , working with your team to turn 1-pager specs into features
  • Grow your teams by coaching developing engineers and by attracting and hiring top talent
  • Obsess about the architectural design, implementation and quality of the work your team produces
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product and Design to innovate and execute product initiatives across the company
  • Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Front's engineering management team What skills and experience do you need?
    • 3+ years of engineering management experience; effectively recruited, mentored, and retained great people
    • Strong track record of running teams that deliver projects of significant complexity and high level of ambiguity
    • A strong product mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, low-ego and high-growth environment; you work well with all kinds of personalities and with teams across multiple geographies
    • Clear, structured thinking and excellent communication skills
