• Assist Physical Therapist in treatment for the patient, and assist them with exercises and performing daily activities.
• Interview patients, perform a physical examination, and gain and update and medical history from the patient.
• Conduct manual exercises, assist patients in performing activities, such as daily living, functional, and devices to support recovery like crutches/wheelchair.A PTA performs physical therapy programs under the general supervision of a physical therapist unless the state practice is more stringent.
  Educational Requirements
  
  Graduate of accredited two-year Physical Therapy Assistant program and obtained a passing score on the National Physical Therapy Examination or licensed, certified, or registered in accordance with applicable State law.
  
  Position Requirements
  
  ExperiencePrior experience as a PTA preferred, but not necessary.
