Hospitalist opening in Concord, California. This and other physician jobs brought to you by DocCafe.com A new hospitalist program opened up in April and we still have open positions. This hospital is located 40 miles East of the Bay Area of California. This will be an 8 Full Time Hospitalist program with 3 day time physicians and 1 night time physician. The group will rotate day and night shifts on a 3:1 basis. Shift times will be 7a-7p or 7p-7a. Practice details: H& P on admitted patients Daily rounding & coordinate care w/ care team (including nursing) Follow up communication w/ PCP & specialists Facilitate communication w/ other team members to ensure transitions of care regarding patients w/ LOS requiring the care of multiple hospitalists Other duties related to professional hospitalist services as reasonably requested by hospital Physicians need to be skilled with, or open to be trained to do, central lines for sepsis patients Will be required to interpret treadmill stress tests (Sundays only)---. anticipate volume of 2 daily. Training can be provided as necessary. There are pulm docs - do not have 24/7 ICU coverage ED docs do codes Encounters per shift will average 14-18 per physician This position will offer a competitive rate per hour, and ECHO Locum Tenens will cover all travel and lodging expenses.
