Summary – Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Job Description
Position: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Requirements: - CST
certification required - BLS certification required - Minimum 2
years of Surgical Tech experience - Call Schedule: One weekday
every other week and one weekend day per month Key
Responsibilities: - Prepare and maintain the sterile field for
surgical procedures. - Set up sterile instruments and surgical
equipment before procedures. - Assist surgeons with gowning,
gloving, and patient draping. - Provide intraoperative support by
passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating surgeon
needs. - Ensure proper supply management, equipment setup,
maintenance, and testing. - Follow local, state, and federal
regulations, policies, and safety standards to ensure patient
safety and privacy. - May assist with department procedures and
orientation/training of new staff. Additional Note: - Local bill
