Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PACU Job Details: • Specialize in plastic surgery post-anesthesia care unit with recovery of general anesthesia patients • Patient ratio of 2:1 for optimal care delivery • No weekends or holidays required • Work with adolescent and adult patient populations • Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be AHA or American Red Cross) • Epic charting system experience preferred • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required • Charge experience preferred • Trauma Level I and II experience preferred • Provide direct and indirect patient care utilizing comprehensive nursing process • Perform medication administration, therapeutic treatments, and patient education • Document patient encounters in electronic medical record (EMR) • Conduct patient assessments, triage, and discharge planning • Manage conscious sedation, airway assessment, and pain management • Handle pre and post-operative procedures including consent and education • Monitor patients recovering from procedures including abdominoplasty and breast augmentation • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing • Complete non-billable orientation modules averaging 1-5 hours Facility: This outpatient surgery center specializes in plastic surgery procedures and provides comprehensive post-anesthesia care services.
