Location: Bakersfield, CA 93301 Shift: Days/Nights | 12-hour shifts
| Every Other Weekend (EOW) Start Date: 03/02/2026 Duration: 16
Weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Position Overview We are
seeking an experienced Nurse Shift Manager to provide on-shift
leadership for the MedSurg/Telemetry Float Pool. This role combines
charge nurse, clinical mentor, and leadership responsibilities to
ensure safe, high-quality patient care and staff support across
units. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical and operational
leadership during assigned shifts Serve as charge nurse and float
leader based on staffing and census Round on patients and address
clinical, service, and safety concerns Support and mentor nursing
staff Coordinate patient flow and staffing assignments Promote a
positive, collaborative work environment Act as a clinical resource
for staff and interdisciplinary teams Requirements Experience:
Minimum 3 years of RN experience Recent Charge RN experience
required (last assignment) Previous travel experience required (no
first-time travelers) Certifications: Active RN License (required
at submission) BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS (AHA or APEX) Skills &
Systems: MedSurg/Telemetry experience Cerner EMR experience
preferred Leadership and team management skills Assignment Details
Unit: NSM MedSurg/Telemetry Float Pool Care Setting: Acute Care
Orientation: 3 weeks (1 week classroom 2 weeks unit orientation)
