TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified
PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in San Francisco, California, 94158! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia
Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8
hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum of 5 years of RN
experience required. Minimum of 3 years of ambulatory PACU
experience required. License: Must hold an active RN license.
Certifications: AHA BLS ACLS PALS Must-Have: Experience in airway
management, anesthesia recovery, and pain management. Ability to
work in preoperative and extended care units. Flexibility to float
to other units as needed. Description: A registered nurse is needed
for the PACU. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of
anesthesia recovery and pain management. The role involves working
with patients in the postoperative phase and requires the ability
to manage airways effectively. Candidates should have experience
with caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient
populations. Daily census is approximately 50 patients. Ideal
candidates will have experience in various surgical procedures,
including tonsillectomy, cholecystectomy, hysterectomy, and
mastectomy. Essential skills include maintaining IV access,
managing central lines, and performing medication reconciliation.
Candidates should be proficient in charting with Epic. Prior
teaching hospital experience is preferred. Travel experience is
required. All candidates are required to provide proof of COVID
vaccination and booster. This position includes the possibility of
reassignment to different departments or units based on staffing
needs. Travel pairs are permitted, but typically not assigned to
the same unit. Prior employment with any affiliated medical
facilities must be included in the application history. Candidates
must be separated from a previous permanent position for at least
one year before applying as a traveler. Modules related to the
position will be required during pre-start and annually. 5 Benefits
