J2 unit = Cardiac/Thorasic Surgery ICU takes the sickest patients. very high acuity. many devices: CRT, Balloon Pumps, ECMO, etc 24 bed CTICU Patient Population: Complex CT surgery patients, Heart and Lung transplants, combination of Heart/Kidney or Heart/Liver Stanford is ECMO Center of Excellence – Gold (2nd placed). We are the only unit that cares for ECMO patients Heavy on device: CRRT, IABP, Impella, LVAD, RVAD, ECMO. These are cared by regular staff nurses trained @ SHC Qualifications for candidates: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience (preferably CVICU) in similar/like unit Experienced with the following equipment: CCO, pacemaker Experienced with lines and tubes/drains: PA catheter, Chest tubes, pigtail catheters, Lumbar drains Experienced and knowledgeable: inotropic agents / vasoactive drugs EPIC Medical Solutions Job ID 1043696.
