Registered Nurse (RN) | Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op Location: San Francisco, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,602 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of specialty experience required. License: Current Registered Nurse license in California required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required. Must-Have: - Ambulatory experience highly preferred. - Ability to float between pre-op and PACU. - Coverage needed Monday through Friday; no weekends or call. - Start times may vary between 6:00 AM and 7:30 PM. Description: Local restrictions differ. The position will primarily be in the PACU but may require floating to the pre-op area. Candidates must possess experience with various surgical procedures including tonsillectomy, cholecystectomy, and spinal surgeries. Skills in patient assessment and medication administration required. Experience managing patients in various age groups including pediatric and geriatric populations is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with pain management and procedural sedation. Knowledge of emergency protocols and narcotics administration is essential. Candidates must demonstrate skills in both Phase I and II recovery. Candidate responsibilities include pre-operative education, medication reconciliation, and discharge instructions. Ability to perform airway assessments and maintain IVs is critical. Interaction with interdisciplinary support teams is expected. Understanding of lab values interpretation and communication is required. Candidates should have experience with patient education and follow-up phone calls.
