ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in San Francisco, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PACU Job Details: • Work 4x10 hour shifts Monday through Friday with variable shift times of either 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM • No weekend coverage or on-call requirements • Provide pre-operative care including patient assessment, IV insertion, Foley catheter placement, glucose monitoring, and blood draws • Execute physician orders and prepare patients for surgery • Recover patients in PACU and ACU settings • Discharge patients to units or home following surgery • Maintain 2:1 patient ratio during day shifts • May float to ambulatory care unit and other CPMC locations if census is low • Care for patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, and pediatrics • Previous charge experience required • 2 years of PACU/ICU experience required • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS • California RN licensure required • Epic experience preferred • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing • Complete orientation modules averaging 1-5 hours through e-learning system • 7-year work history verification required Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical campus featuring advanced surgical services and post-anesthesia care units.
