Bariatric Program Coordinator is responsible for the management and
coordination of the continuum of care, for the hospital population
limited to bariatric surgery patients. Our team is amazing; we

apply today! You will be responsible for the supervision and
implementation of the bariatric surgery program. You will work
closely with the surgeons and their office staff to ensure an
uneventful and successful progression for the patient through the
entire surgery process. This includes patient and family education,
coordination or resources necessary and appropriate to achieve the
maximal clinical and financial patient outcome. You will provide
leadership for the collaborative management of patient care for the
entire episode of care. You will ensure high quality care, provide
a clear framework for decision-making, and participate in creating
an atmosphere of mutual trust, acceptance, recognition, and
respect. You will collaborate with nursing management and the
education department to develop and implement staff education. You
or Bariatric Nurse Specialist will make daily rounds on bariatric
patients to evaluate appropriateness of treatment plan and nursing
intervention and compliance with clinical pathways. The patient
should progress toward expected outcomes as defined by the clinical
pathways. You will assist with Center of Excellence applications
for ASMBS and any insurance companies RFI for Bariatric COE
requirements and ongoing renewals of such applications. What
qualifications you will need: Current California Nursing License.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor’s
Degree in Nursing required. Certified Bariatric Nurse preferred Two
(2) years’ experience in acute bariatric surgical care, within the
last 10 years. Good Samaritan Hospital has been serving Silicon
