Job Summary
#CA-DSThe Evening Oncology Staff Pharmacist 2 position focuses on
oncology patient care in the inpatient medical oncology setting and
infusion settings. The Evening Oncology pharmacist will primarily
cover evening oncology pharmacy shifts with occasional weekend and
day shift support, as needed, to meet the needs of the inpatient
oncology and infusion service lines. The 8RX pharmacy provides
medications for adult and pediatric oncology patients. The Evening
Oncology Pharmacist will oversee order review, verification and
preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous medications for
hospitalized patients on the inpatient oncology and hospital
infusion service lines. The Evening Oncology pharmacist will work
directly with pharmacy technicians to oversee accuracy of product
preparation and compliance with regulatory requirements.Apply By

California Pharmacist License
eligible and possess a valid license at the time of hireAmerican
Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health
CPRDoctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) or equivalent
degreeCompletion of PGY1 residency OR 3 years of inpatient clinical
pharmacy experience requiredAbility to lead and supervise
technicians and establish priorities of workflowComplete working
knowledge of, and skill to apply, practices, principles and
techniques of patient care related to area of expertise.Working
knowledge of regulations and safety requirements for safe handling,
preparation and administration of hazardous drugs.Working Knowledge
of hospital practice, chemotherapy and hazardous drugs compounding
and control procedures.Must be able to accurately perform pharmacy
calculationsAbility to communicate well and make independent
decisions to resolve minor problems as they arise.Decision-making
skills to independently exercise delegated authority to take
action, and to recognize when it is appropriate to seek assistance
from others when limits of delegated authority have been
reached.Preferred Qualifications
Board Certification in Oncology
Pharmacy (BCOP) or Sterile Compounding (BCSCP) preferred Completion
of PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency preferred Previous EPIC/BEACON
(or equivalent CPOE) experience Educational experience and ability
to work with and direct health care professionals Educational
experience and ability to work with, direct and evaluate pharmacy
