Li Lab - Junior or Assistant Specialist - Experimentalist

Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics

UC San Francisco

The Li Lab in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at UCSF has a job opening as Junior or Assistant Specialist. The duty of the experimentalist is to support our research effort on cellular rejuvenation through transcriptional reprogramming and anti-aging drug screening, by performing various cell and molecular biology experiments.

Required Qualifications:

• 
  
• For the Junior rank, baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) in genetic, molecular/cell biology, biochemistry or related fields or at least four years of research experience.
  
  
  
• For the Assistant rank, master's degree (or equivalent degree) in genetic, molecular/cell biology, biochemistry or related fields or a baccalaureate degree with three or more years of research experience.
  
• Hands-on experience with cell culture and a broad range of molecular biology techniques.
  
• Experience with microscopy and flow cytometry.
  
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow complex protocols.
  
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  
  
  See Table 24B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $51,300-$65,900.
