• Employment Type: TravelSalary: $2,444.00/week Medical specialty: Telemetry Standard shift: Days Weekly schedule: 3x12 Shift Timings: 06:00 AM - 18:30 PMFloat Requirements: Tele experience/float to MS;ACLS, EKG, IV, Cardiac patients.General Description:This unit provides care for post-critical (step-down) medical or surgical patients who require observation and care at a level less than intensive care patients, but more comprehensive than that required by general acute patients. This unit represents a mix of medical and surgical patients including monitored or ventilator-dependent patients. This department is only for direct patient care and does not include individuals only monitoring electronic devices from outside the patient room.Essential Responsibilities:Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients.Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician order on assigned patients.Assists physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary.Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.Delivers patient care competently.Interacts with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the hospital and at time of discharge.Informs patient and family of hospital procedures.Makes referral regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.Delegates tasks to support staff.Required Experience:1 year of experience. Required Education:Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.Preferred Education:Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved ProgramRequired Certifications & Licensure:Current RN License issued by the California State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart AssociationACLS (American Heart Association).ProKatchers LLC is revolutionizing healthcare staffing!
