Job Description:
-Full-time Surgical TechnicianPrimary Responsibilities
Secure and prepare all supplies
required for surgical interventionEnsure the preparation and
maintenance of the sterile field in ORPerform surgical counts
according to center policies and proceduresPrepare patient skin for
surgical treatmentHelp monitor patients during surgeryProvide
supportive care during the pre-operative phasePerform surgical
functions to assist surgeon during surgical procedureCollect and
label specimens taken during surgical procedureFollow all federal,
state and departmental safety proceduresMaintain a proper sterile
field during surgical proceduresProvide technical assistance to
surgeons, surgical nurses, or anesthesiologistsPrepare patients for
surgery, including positioning patients on the operating table and
covering them with sterile surgical drapes to prevent exposureHand
instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgeons' assistants, hold
retractors and cut sutures, and perform other tasks as directed by
surgeon during operationPrepare, care for, and dispose of tissue
specimens Wash and sterilize equipment, using proper products and
sterilizing techniques per manufacturers guidelines Monitor and
continually assess operating room conditions, including patient and
surgical team needsOperate, assemble, adjust, or monitor
sterilizers, lights, suction machines, or diagnostic -equipment to
ensure proper operationDisinfect all the equipment and tools used
after the surgeryAssist with Cleaning and turnover of the operating
room after the procedure -Key Competencies

urgency and necessity of the situation.

-Steadiness: Able to keep your hand and arm steady when needed.
-Qualifications
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
-2+ years' experience preferred
-BLS certification
-Familiarity with all surgical instruments and equipment
-Able to lift 50 lbs.
