Job Description:
The OR Nurse is responsible for working with surgeons in the OR.
Operating Room RNs will prep the room and the patient for the
procedure and make sure that all equipment is safe and working
correctly.ResponsibilitiesOperating Room Nurse duties consist
of:
Assessing the health of the patient before, during and after the
procedure.
Predict the needs of the surgeons and hand instruments and medical
supplies to them during procedures.
Collecting and labeling the items needed for lab work.
RequirementsOne year of experience as an Operating Room Nurse
within the past two years.
Current Nursing License in good standing.
Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
Negative Drug Screen.
