As the Norther California Service Manager, you are responsible for running and growing a $30M complex business with a strong mix of both transactional and enterprise customers. In this role you have accountability for driving a high performance culture which delivers upon Agilent's strategic objectives. This is centered around building loyalty with our customers, shareholders and employees coupled with developing organizational capabilities to meet future business challenges.

Principle Duties/Responsibilities:


* Has P&L and resource accountability
* Executes upon and grows our highly transactional business model (operational excellence) as well as creates a customer intimacy model for key accounts
* Maintains customer alliances with key Agilent customers, as well as builds strategic partnerships in order to execute the business strategies
* Incorporates innovative business practices and models to drive customer loyalty in a very competitive landscape
* Ensures the business system is achieving the stated goals and takes corrective action on performance and opportunity gaps as appropriate while mitigating risk to Agilent's business
* Actively fosters a quality and continuous improvement culture within the organization challenging the status quo to improve business operations as well as cost effectiveness
* Formally reviews all business operations to ensure brand, culture and strategic objectives are achieved.
* Works with other value chain members (Sales, Division, and others) to identify and take advantage of developing market and technology/product opportunities to drive revenue
* Safeguards the Agilent brand, reputation and assets by ensuring policies and procedures are maintained and followed in accordance with corporate guidelines
* Utilize Data Analytics to provide business insights to key customers
* Deliver Quarterly Business Reviews and customer engagements events to drive loyalty
* Collaborate with sales to provide innovative solutions for key customers


Key Measures of Success:


* Brand loyalty and customer satisfaction (brand survey/ACX)
* Exceed financial targets and build sustainable shareholder value (revenue & profitability)
* Drive best in Class Leadership Scores (Agilent Leadership Survey)
* Anticipates and builds organizational capabilities to win in the future
* Meets key operational metrics (e.g. response time)
* Manages work groups representing multiple processes and/ or regions
* Designs, manages, executes tactical business plan to deliver business strategy
* Develops, executes multi-business programs





Qualifications


* Bachelor's, Master's or other university degree in a relevant field highly preferred; may consideration applicants with equivalent combination of education, training and hands on experience
* 4+ years of relevant experience in a service industry, preferably in the life science field
* Prior experience in a leadership and/or management role is required
* Strong leadership skills; including the ability to act as a role model, recruit top talent and delegate effectively
* Strong communication and negotiation Skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Knowledge of analytical industry and key business drivers in the marketplace
* Ability to travel extensively when needed
* A valid drivers license in good standing is required
