Under the direction of the Vice President, Chief Nursing Executive,
the Director of Nursing Perioperative Services will demonstrate
management and leadership skills; they will have experience in
perioperative nursing and will maintain awareness of regulatory
activities affecting health care.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
- Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling
the health care process through the overall management of the
Operating Room, PACU, Short Stay Unit and Sterile Processing.
- Responsible for written policies and procedures that guide
perioperative services and ensure that patient care is delivered
safely and competently.
- Responsible for the fiscal activities of the perioperative

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education
and experience and Master's degree in nursing or other-related
field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA).
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and two (2)
years of leadership experience.
- Registered Nursing License (RN) in state of practice, Basic
Life Support (BLS), other credentials or modules may be
