This distinguished award is given annually to influential and innovative companies that meet high standards in employee satisfaction and human resources.SUMMARY:This position holds accountability for the development and maintenance of financial processes, the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, including the preparation, review and analyses of financial statements in accordance with authoritative guidance and regulatory requirements across multiple entities and divisions. This position will also be expected to aid the Controller in researching, documenting and reporting complex transactions and new accounting regulations.Direct management of general accounting operations, including, but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Travel Expense, Fixed Assets. Financial reporting development and review in accordance with GAAP and other appropriate guidance working with the Controller.Effective management of accounting staff, including resource selection, performance management and development.Monitor certain transactional activity across multiple companies. Monitor compliance with accounting controls and coordinate with the Controller to modify as needed.Understand and record, at a detail level, complicated transactions across multiple entities.Develop and administer policies and procedures across the Accounting functions and the companies.Monitor and review certain account reconciliation and transactional activityDirect contribution to the timely and accurate reporting of month-end, quarter-end and year-end Close Process. Encompasses review of balance sheet reconciliations, expense review and reporting.Assist and manage components of month end consolidation and intercompany, division activity. Hands on of preparation and review of external financial statement, including essential disclosures and analysis.Assist Senior Management with M&A and Financing transaction tasks as assigned; review, accounting, reporting and documentation.Review and preparation of financial statements (IS, BS, CF) within ERP and Planning financial reporting software, including suggested modifications ranging from COA additions/removal which may include integrating subsidiaries and related consolidation reporting.Manage and coordinate project tasks for the implementation of a new Accounting Pronouncements.Understanding and compliance with other specific regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., OFAC, Escheatment, 1099)Assistance with all aspects of annual independent audit (including financial, 401K and other governance related audits). Includes providing timely and accurate PBC list items, review, memorandums and delivery of final audited report. Other process improvement and departmental projects as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Mentor, train and supervise other team members directly and indirectly, review their work and provide effective constructive feedback.Ensure all team members understand, are trained in, and comply with Paradigms security requirements and policies.Ensure all team members have the minimum level of IT system access required to effectively complete their Paradigm responsibilities.#PM19 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. CPA/CA required. MBA or graduate level certifications (e.g., CMA, CIA) highly desirable.Public accounting or audit experience a plus.Experience five or more years of experience with operational accounting, audit and management duties in a mid-size or large organizational environment.Consolidation and Purchase Accounting experience preferred. Public company and M&A experience highly desirable. Experience in healthcare a strong plus.Strong working knowledge and skill in tier 1 or tier 2 ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, JD Edwards, Dynamics, Sage, Epicor) and financial reporting software (e.g., FRx, Hyperion, Cognos).Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend instructions, documents, etc., at an advanced level. Strong writing skills and ability to convey accounting treatment positions on complex GAAP requirements and interpretations. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to clients and employees of the organization.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
