Job CategoryProducts and Technology Job Details Primary Responsibilities * Participate as a key member of technical M&A due diligence team, representing Salesforce production environments and shared services delivery teams. Work closely with other functional team leads to research and assess target acquisitions, identify / size risks and opportunities, and report out to executive sponsors. Develop Technology onboarding and integration plans, based on various deal scenarios presented. * Work closely with Corp Dev team and M&A teams across all Salesforce organizations, as well as with Integration leads across the Technology organization, to drive the acquisition onboarding and Technology integration strategy. Track, measure and report against objectives. Coordinate and lead cross-functional meetings, document decisions and follow up on actions. * Refine and optimize the development of integration strategy and help to operationalize that strategy throughout the integration life cycle. Translate business objectives into execution strategy (strategic and tactical), lead and successfully execute the strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership * Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and collaboratively institutionalize changes. Drive alignment across a diverse set of stakeholder groups, ranging from the Corp Dev and M&A leads across the company, to subject matter experts across Technology Organization. * Work with multiple delivery teams to take ownership and accountability for technical roadmaps, program delivery, and constant improvement; this includes supporting and holding resources accountable for their responsibilities * Strong executive presentation skills and content development * Create a collaborative environment leveraging internal tools and an agile mindset to foster autonomy, transparency, innovation and learning Professional Experience/Skills Required * Business Leadership Skills: Strong, team-oriented leadership skills. Able to identify, frame and confront issues and make recommendations for resolution. Strong initiative. Solid business acumen. Experience with budgets and financial metrics. * Technical Knowledge / Experience: Solid understanding of public cloud architectures, production infrastructure environments, and service delivery. * M&A / Integration Experience: Solid understanding of the acquisition life cycle, integration planning, and strategic considerations. Previous M&A / due diligence experience is desired. * Influencing and Interpersonal Skills: Able to establish and build close working relationships. Strong personal credibility and counseling skills. Team-oriented planner and decision-maker. Ability to motivate, collaborate, and work successfully in a team environment. Able to creatively drive consensus. Change ambassador. * Project and Program Management Skills: Experience in estimation, planning, design, and implementation of complex, cross-functional business and IT efforts at software companies. Effective in influencing and making high quality decisions and taking decisive action. Ability to work well under deadlines and juggle multiple priorities. Strong meeting management skills. * Process Improvement Skills: Ability to analyze poorly defined areas and processes within a cross-functional organization. Effective in developing and implementing new and improved processes. * Analytics: Strong critical thinking skills. Experience applying various methodologies or practices to assess processes, business issues and people. Ability to extract key messages from detail and translate into audience appropriate messages. Strong editing skills. * Product Marketing/Positioning: Demonstrated ability to develop content for internal and customer audiences, including executive level presentations * Executive Communication Skills: Exceptionally strong communicator equally adept at communications strategy and execution, with the ability to anticipate executive needs and support preparation of executive presentations. Other Skills/Requirements: * 7-10+ years experience in corporate development technical or related production environment / service delivery engineering role * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MBA strongly preferred * Understanding of distributed systems, software build and deployment processes; cloud computing * Integration, product development, or organizational design experience * Exceptionally strong communicator with the ability to develop content for executives. Strong writing, editing and presentation skills. Ability to extract key messages from detail and translate into audience-appropriate messages. * Experience with product marketing, positioning and content development * Comfortable in high-stress, challenging situations * Strong technical and creative skills * Self-motivated individual capable of working in a face-paced, startup environment * Ability to quickly ramp on collaboration technologies (Smartsheets, Quip) * Previous M&A (due diligence) experience desired * Salesforce.com organization and product knowledge is a plus Posting Statement Salesforce.com and Salesforce.org are Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employers.
