The mission of the VP Product Marketing is to build and scale a world-class product marketing organization capable of driving revenue, growing demand, and ultimately positioning Company as THE unquestioned leader in email authentication. Company is a fast growing, venture funded startup and the leader in Email Authentication as a Service. What You’ll Be Doing : Our VP Product Marketing will own the overall corporate and product marketing strategy for Company with the following focal points: -Pioneer and create company positioning from scratch. Possess the ability to spot new trends, be a thought leader and become an expert in the emerging field of authentication. -Partner with the exec team to develop the product messaging and strategy for a diverse set of target customer personas including IT and security professionals. -Drive best in class product marketing including product launch management, white papers, sales training, presentations, sales tools, and general sales support. -Manage digital/online marketing machine, including website analytics, pay per click advertising, search engine marketing and search engine optimization. -Create content for market success including: website, infographics, white papers, articles, blogs, podcasts, sales presentations, ROI tools, and other customer facing materials to build awareness, drive demand and arm sales. -Own the conversation and credibly tell our story. Understand the market trends and competitive landscape in the market and develop competitive positioning while establishing rapport with media and industry analysts. Own strategic planning including corporate positioning, market and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans, and related product positioning. -Define the Product marketing strategy needed to grow the community and work with growth marketing to increase engagement including social media, online, and email marketing. -Gather feedback from customers and internal teams including product, product marketing, and sales to better understand customer needs and use cases. -Recruit, grow, and lead a team of passionate marketers. About You : The goal at Company is to be a stand-alone company that dominates the markets they play in. Great leadership, management, marketing process and organizational skills are essential – along with personal commitment and passion for the role. Essential background characteristics are: *8+ years leading a Product Marketing function and team in a high-velocity SaaS company *Startup experience is a must - should be experienced in taking a company through a scaling phase either as marketing head or key right hand person. *Strong security or application software marketing background. Strong experience in product marketing to large enterprise customers. *Success as a leader. Proven ability to attract, retain and successfully manage top talent. *Proven ability to “scale” an organization. Has built marketing infrastructure and operations in a high growth environment. Proven ability to be “hands on” and is an excellent player/coach. *Comfortable dealing with a technical product/community while selling business value. *Experience and comfort with a technical sale – Company’s differentiation stems from its cutting edge, proprietary technology and being able to both understand and articulate the value proposition is key. *Quality companies in their background.
