Kateeva is looking a Director of Global Logistics to be based in Newark, California, to support the business of Kateevas proprietarily manufactured equipment for fabricating the next generation of flat screen displays"organic light emitting diode (OLED) displays. Kateeva has developed unique printing technology ideally suited for OLED display manufacturing and is building a talented, top-notch team to develop, optimize, and commercialize OLED manufacturing processes based on this technology. We are looking for a logistics leader that will develop a world class organization and capabilities to manage all aspects of our logistics network from our suppliers to our manufacturing center and to our customers. This is an opportunity for a leader to develop the team, set up new business processes, establishing business relationship with 3PL providers, and manage the overall performance of our logistics capabilities. The Logistics leader will be responsible for managing logistics, transportation, warehousing and trade responsibilities for all movements from worldwide origins to various destinations. This leader will directly impact our responsiveness and customer satisfaction to support our global customers. He/she will also be responsible to analyze all aspects of the operation to determine the most cost effective and efficient means of managing product in our supply chain. An effective leader in this role will enable on time delivery of our tools and spare parts, through a cost effective logistics and warehouse network that delivers with quality and meets all trade and international customs requirements. We are at a critical phase of establishing a robust infrastructure to support Kateevas rapid growth as we continue to expand our install base of tools and equipment with industry leaders. The Logistics leader will need to have the ability to be strategic as well as perform as a hands on leader who will work collaboratively with internal and external partners and stakeholders. Be part of this exciting industry. Join our journey. This role reports to the VP of Supply Chain Management, Operations. Responsibilities & Duties: - Responsible for handling logistics, transportation, outsourced warehousing and trade responsibilities for any movements from worldwide origins to various destinations. The leader will be responsible to analyze all aspects of the operation to determine the most cost effective and efficient means of managing product in our supply chain. - Must have a knowledge of national and international import/export regulations and must be able to effectively resolve any issues that may arise in international freight transportation. - Analyze anticipated growth of operating company against capacities to maintain and ensure proper storage, receiving, and shipping capabilities for present and future business. - Develop a monthly operating rhythm to manage all aspects of performance indicators and cost attributes to track performance to goals and manage improvement initiatives. - Framing and managing scope of work (SOW), standard operating procedures (SOP) and reporting methodology for logistics contracts with providers. - Negotiating prices and terms with logistics providers, lead cost improvement in support of achievement of spending reduction goals for Freight / Logistics / Warehousing. - Responsible for supplier selection and performance management for service, quality and cost for all logistics, transportation, warehousing and customs brokerage - Participate in transport service provider selection and qualification process; manage ongoing relationships and lead quarterly business reviews - Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements. - Own global logistics business processes to support supply chain visibility and freight audit/payment services. Experience & Qualifications: - BS/BA degree is a minimum., advanced degree preferred - Minimum 10 years related experience with transportation, logistics and warehousing - Display or semi logistics capital equipment experience is preferred. - Direct leadership responsibility within a global transportation and logistics environment - Good knowledge of international logistics procedures, practices and norms, HTS code, INCOTERMS, Duty Drawback, VAT, etc. - Experience leading a team and navigating within a matrixed structure preferred - Record of success in implementing measurable improvements in transportation and logistics - Past experience with 3PL type of warehousing would be beneficial - Ability to perform financial calculations, create and manage budgets - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with experience working in a global organization - Direct, hands-on experience with working and communication with customers on logistics-based activities - Ability to form collaboration with external logistic firms, warehouse companies. - Result oriented with work ethic, and the commitment to do whatever it takes to get the job done! - International Travel would be required for this role
