Matters:Supermicro is seeking a Senior Director Solution Management
with exceptional leadership, analytical, strategic, and mentorship
skills to drive the growth and innovation of our Edge Computing
solutions. This role will be engaging new and existing customers,
along with product management. You will also be promoting our Edge
Computing product lines for AI/IoT/Embedded/High-Performance Edge
Computing Systems and identifying global market opportunities. This
role will also require strong leadership in managing teams and
shaping the overall strategy for product success.The ideal
candidate will have deep expertise in product management, market
positioning, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that Supermicro
remains a leader in the Edge Computing space. This position is
based at our headquarters in San Jose, CA.Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:What You'll Do:New Product Introduction & Internal
Collaboration--- Conduct market and business analysis, identifying
trends and opportunities to strengthen Supermicro's position in
Edge Computing solutions.--- Develop and execute an aggressive
go-to-market strategy, ensuring successful product launches and
competitive positioning.--- Lead and manage Edge Computing product
development through its full lifecycle, from concept (POC) to
end-of-life (EOL).--- Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and
manufacturing teams to define product specifications and ensure
alignment with customer needs and industry trends.--- Drive
resource management for product development, working closely with
manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams.--- Oversee
quality control and validation processes, including design reviews,
sample testing, and failure analysis, to optimize product
reliability and performance.Customer Engagement & Product
Promotion--- Work directly with enterprise customers, gathering
insights and feedback to refine product specifications and enhance
user experience.--- Lead technology research and competitive
analysis, ensuring product roadmaps align with evolving customer
demands and industry advancements.--- Represent the voice of the
customer in product planning meetings, ensuring product offerings
address real-world deployment challenges.--- Develop and maintain
strategic partnerships within the Edge Computing ecosystem to
expand market reach and adoption.Leadership & Strategic
Management--- Lead and mentor a high-performing product management
team, fostering innovation and excellence.--- Define and implement
best practices for product lifecycle management, ensuring
streamlined execution from ideation to market delivery.--- Work
cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and technical teams to
support product positioning and revenue growth initiatives.---
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and drive
product success in the Edge Computing sector.Qualifications:What
You'll Bring:--- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is
highly preferred.--- 20+ years of experience in product management,
with a strong background in Edge Computing, server architecture,
and high-tech product development.--- Demonstrated expertise in new
product introductions (NPI), including concept validation,
engineering collaboration, and go-to-market execution.--- Strong
understanding of server hardware, chassis manufacturing processes,
and component integration (mechanical, thermal, power, PCBA).---
Experience managing manufacturing operations and cost structures,
including hard tooling, injection molding, and fabrication.---
Proven ability to develop, install, and optimize new product
methodologies, processes, and performance standards.--- Strong
leadership, people management, and cross-functional influence
skills, with experience guiding teams towards achieving business
objectives.--- Ability to effectively manage customer
relationships, resolve conflicts, and align product strategies with
client needs.--- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of

$270,000The salary offered will depend on several factors,
including your location, level, education, training, specific
skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees
