Director of Global Industry and Account Based MarketingAs the
Director of Global Industry & Account-Based Marketing at Zendesk,
you will define and execute the global strategy for industry and
ABM programs. Your mission is to build and lead a high-performing
team that drives new business, cross-sell, and up-sell pipeline
across key industries and strategic accounts.Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing ABM
and industry marketing team, providing guidance and support to help
them excel in their roles. Amplify the influence of the team by
nurturing talent and providing clarity to your team.
- Account Based Strategy: Direct the strategic plan to create new
business pipeline with a one to many ABM approach that centers on
our top industry focus areas. Measurably improve pipeline for
targeted accounts in partnership with regional teams.
- Industry Marketing Leadership: Be the marketing lead on
industry marketing globally, owning end-to-end execution of our
industry strategy in partnership with sales. Accountable for
industry specific content creation of assets that support the
selling process in measurable ways, driving business outcomes:
pipeline, time to close and win rates. Shape and influence the
overall marketing strategy with industry insights and account level
insights.
- Cross-team Collaboration: Work across product marketing and
sales teams to infuse industry specific positioning and messaging
into campaigns and sales plays in ways that differentiates our
solutions and creates clarity for sales teams.
- Global Partnership: Collaborate with regional marketing teams
to evolve the go to marketing strategy for a one to few motion,
enabling scale and impact.
- Measure & Optimize: Develop a data-driven approach to measuring
performance and impact of ABM and industry marketing. Create
feedback loops with sales using both qualitative and quantitative
insights to enable your team to test, learn and improve results
over time.Qualifications:
- 10+ years of marketing experience in B2B SaaS with a strong
focus on ABM, industry, or demand generation.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop high-performing
talent, with a focus on creating psychological safety for diverse
teams and building inclusive cultures.
- Experience leading teams to own end-to-end execution of ABM or
industry marketing with the ability to help your team consistently
prioritize work for impact.
- Experience building measurement and feedback loops for
qualitative and quantitative insights in a test, learn and improve
approach.
- Ability to synthesize industry and account level intelligence
for regional marketing and sales teams.
- Ability to use data insights to optimize marketing
performance.
- Strong communication skills across all levels, from marketing
and sales professionals to executives.
- Experience collaborating across multiple internal teams and
departments and building effective relationships to influence
change.
- A bias for fast but thoughtful action, results, and delivery
with a high-quality bar.
