About The Role & Team
Amplitude's Global Customer Success organization is responsible for the onboarding, adoption and growth of the company's rapidly growing customer base. With industry-leading satisfaction scores and retention rates, this multi-disciplined team is at the forefront of ensuring each Amplitude customer achieves their desired outcome and experience. The Global Director of Professional Services will be a key member of Amplitude's Customer Success leadership team, and will be responsible for leading and scaling our global PS function.
As the Global Director of Professional Services, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational components of the Amplitude Professional Services team. Developing the strategy behind growing the organization and building on its operational excellence while aligning to the larger Customer Success and Revenue organizations will be key.
As the Global Director of Professional Services, you will:


  • Execute upon growth strategy for the global Professional Services team in conjunction with the Customer Success, Sales and Partnership leadership teams
  • Build and execute an Partner delivery strategy jointly with our Partnerships organization
  • Evolve and standardize services offerings to deploy and accelerate adoption for our customers globally
  • Own services metrics such as utilization, time-to-value, and implementation CSAT
  • Optimize the team for operational excellence aligned to the Customer Success teams to create an integrated customer experience
  • Be a strong partner to Sales to pitch, scope and position services required to give customers confidence and make them successful
  • Lead and directly manage the Professional Services Leadership team across North America, EMEA, and APJ, including recruiting/hiring leadership roles, development, and performance management.
  • Be a key member of the Customer Success leadership team & the voice for Professional Services at Amplitude.

    You'll be a great addition to the team if you have:

    • Held a leadership role at an established global SaaS services organization
    • A proven track record of operational excellence (KPIs, productivity tracking, process improvement, etc.)
    • Recruited, groomed and led teams in a high-growth company
    • Extensive experience with managing Partner relationships and Partner delivered services. Build, nurture and develop an ecosystem of skills to support and extend Amplitude's platform offerings
    • A background in consulting and helping customers transform their business using SaaS technology
    • A background in Analytics or data-centric technologies (CDP, data integration etc.)
    • Managed a P&L and/or have delivered on revenue or gross margin targets
    • Ability to travel to customer sites and remote offices globally

      This role is eligible for equity, benefits and other forms of compensation.Based on Colorado law, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Colorado. Colorado range: $211,000 - $316,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)Based on legislation in New York City, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in New York City. New York City salary range: $234,000 - $352,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $234,000 - $352,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in California outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. California salary range: $211,000 - $316,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington state. Washington salary range: $211,000 - $316,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington only: unlimited PTO, 10 to 13 holidays annually (will vary), medical dental and vision PPO and CDHP plans. Finally, a company sponsored 401(k) retirement plan.
