Title: Sr. IT Project Manager, AWS Infrastructure and Operations - Consultant role - RemoteType of role: Contract - 12+ MonthsLocation: Remote - Client location is in San Francisco, CA JOB SUMMARY:Our direct client is seeking an IT Project Manager, AWS Infrastructure and Operations Consultant. This person will be responsible for leading and managing projects related to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its associated technologies. This role requires a strong technical background in AWS, as well as excellent project management and leadership skills.Working with the Director, IT Operations and AWS Technical Lead the PM will define, drive and track, several projects that involve our managed service providers, IT Applications, Information Security, Research IT, Facilities, and engineers in IT Operations. *****Must have previous experience managing AWS projects******Job Details:Work cross functionally to manage a portfolio of AWS projects.Strong knowledge of AWS services and technologies, including EC2, S3, RDS, and LambdaWork with project stakeholders to develop project charters which include goals, scope, schedule, budget, etc.Responsible for assembling and on-boarding the project stakeholders to projects. Ensuring responsibilities of resources are communicated and understood.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholdersFacilitates the definition of project milestones, tasks, resource requirements.Resolves or assists in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas by completing root cause analysis and developing recommendations.Complete business process analysis and discover workshop to gathering requirements as needed.Measures and reports on project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques to help ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.Creates and maintains project documentation and coordinates the completion of project deliverables.Manages risks, issues, and changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.Reports and escalates to the PMO as needed and manages status update meetings with project team members.QUALIFICATIONS:BS/BA or equivalent experience with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT, preferably with AWSExperience in managing all aspects of IT projects, including tracking milestones, tasks and timelines, reporting progress, and managing risks.Strong understanding of different Project Management principles and methodologies, proficiency with PM tools with at least one Enterprise PM software tool (Smartsheet, SharePoint, Planview, Microsoft Project, etc.) PDN-99213779-ddcb-40be-b44c-b5c538c47998
