Job Description:

We are looking for a Kitchen Manager with a passion for great food to join our team. A Kitchen Manager with an outstanding work ethic and someone who takes pride in their work. This candidate should have a positive attitude and be able to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully. Responsibilities: Supervise kitchen and all back of house staff members Receiving, storing, prepping, and cooking of food Manage Kitchen staff, schedule, team member's training and payroll. Coordinate the purchase of all food maintaining approved food costs and labor costs for both the restaurant and events. Responsible for creating new recipes, training chefs Be able to make recommendations based on what is in season and local. Its important to take advantage of Farm to Fork, Ranch to Restaurant and Dock to Dish which essential to our menu. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with the rest of the restaurant/bar staff Monitor inventory and purchase supplies and food from approved vendors Maintain a sanitary and safe kitchen dry storage, walk-in's, cooking and prep areas. Maintain food safety standards proper handling/ storage of all food items in accordance with standards. Be committed to maintaining high quality food standards and serving customers in a timely manner. Overseeing methods of preparation, portion sizes, timeliness of food preparation and timing of food service Have excellent communication skills. Be able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Ideal candidate will possess the following College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or culinary arts, or equivalent experience is required. Good command of spoken and written English/Spanish a plus Strong leadership, planning and communication skills Strong knowledge of food preparation and storage methods Clear, strong verbal and written communication skills Must have valid ServSafe Manager Certification Ability to demonstrate leadership and organizational skills; inspires and motivates others to perform well Capable of working independently and in a team environment; balances team and individual responsibilities Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays Must possess basic computer skills and gmail knowledge 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis Some bending/kneeling/stooping required Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to work in a hot kitchen environment Why You'll Love Us: We are looking to become more established in our beautiful small community and recognized in the greater Bay Area as one of the best places to eat local food.
