You'll provide direction and feedback to our third party vendor, and ensure the asset meets the internal team's requirements. Our future Art Outsource Manager has a great experience with creating 3D assets, and understands how each discipline affects another. They're a natural organizer with an impeccable attention to detail as well as a good natured team player who is a clear and effective communicator.**In order to be considered, you MUST provide us with either a link to an online portfolio, website or a pdf showcasing recent artwork upon application.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the relationship between the studio and a number of third party vendors.
• Provide feedback on 3d characters and props, from start to finish (model, textures and skin weights).
• Coordinate production of art assets with external partners and their internal counterparts.
• Aware of requirements for each asset from Art, Animation, Design and Engineering.
• Ensure high quality and style matching assets are delivered.
• Work with studio stakeholders to meet internal production deadlines.
• Create documentation for best practices.
• Take assets to full completion or provide tweaks if necessary.
• Can carry out the art direction vision with little to no supervision.QUALIFICATIONS
  • Be a true 3d generalist, with skills in modeling, texturing and weight painting in both characters and props.
  • 5+ years of industry experience, including some experience in art leadership positions.
  • Previous experience working with third party vendors.
  • Ability to optimize assets for optimal performance without losing fidelity.
  • Experience with a stylize art direction and hand painted textures.
  • Clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal.
  • A general understanding of the mobile games industry.
  • Art Degree or similar working experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Good understanding of human and animal anatomy.NICE TO HAVE
    • Strong 2D concept and illustration skills.
    • Animation experience.In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensationforthisrole.The range listed is just one component of Jam City's total compensation package for employees, which may also includeannual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, certifications, location, business needs, or market demands.This range is based on a full-time position.This range may be modified in the future.
