Job Summary:Cost Accounting manager plays a critical role within our accounting, manufacturing plant and supports our operations team to drive results. This position will lead the Plant accounting initiatives, budgets, and protocols.Job Responsibilities:Assist with all financial reporting and analysis for our plant locationDrive timely, accurate and complete submission of all financial data including annual budgeting of income statement and balance sheet, quarterly forecasting and monthly actual financials; understanding and explaining variances in actual performance to budgets and forecast to all levels of Management as well as advising on actions to achieve improved results.Ensure timely and accurate completion of account reconciliations.Ensure compliance with all Company, Accounting and Government Standards, Policies and Regulations.Primary responsibility for critical accounting functions including Inventory, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets and General Ledger.Drive timely, accurate and complete submission of all financial data including annual budgeting of income statement and balance sheet, quarterly forecasting and monthly actual financials; understanding and explaining variances in actual performance to budgets and forecast to all levels of Management as well as advising on actions to achieve improved results.Work with manufacturing management team to monitor and control expenses, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as required.Track, validate and report cost savings and value creation projects to drive continuous cost improvements.Business partner with manufacturing Operations teams to ensure transparency with key business managers in a continuously changing business environment.Work closely with manufacturing on product costing valuations ensuring they have the necessary information to make the appropriate decision to ensure successful growth.Responsible for monitoring and controlling Working Capital as well as identifying and implementing initiatives for improvement.Review all inventory, freight-in & freight-out AP transactionsSupport and test a new product launch, and set up BOM, routing, and rollup standard cost for new part numberMinimum/Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in accounting5+ years of standard cost experience in a manufacturing environmentSAP and NetSuite experience requiredAn in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices and a capacity for independent thought and judgmentDeep knowledge of cost accounting and standard costing of inventoryHighly proficient computer skills and strong Excel skillsAdditional/Preferred Qualifications:ERP implementation project experienceDesirable Characteristics/Attributes:Must be highly organizedAbility to speak, read and write EnglishStrong oral and written communication skillsPowered by JazzHR
