Role description:

Arcadis seeks a Project Manager/Senior Water Engineer to join our Water Management team in San Francisco, CA. Our team helps clients achieve business objectives by creating and implementing innovative and effective solutions for resilient natural and built assets, and this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer and project manager to join our team locally with support from one of the best-qualified engineering consulting firms in the country.

Role accountabilities:

  • Management of a multi-disciplinary planning and engineering team, meeting project schedules, budgets, and quality objectives
  • Collaborate with national leaders, ensuring organizational capacity is in place to deliver on projects in the area market
  • Provide planning and design support for an existing and expanding client base in relation to coastal protection, stormwater management, and other resiliency needs
  • Review design calculations and drawings, and coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines
  • Support the expansion of the resiliency practice and Arcadis brand to new customers
  • Engage with strategic stakeholders in the local market
  • Ambassador for the local and national team, including representing Arcadis at conferences and other industry-related events
  • Solid experience working for municipal, industrial, state and/or federal client base in coastal resilience or a related area Qualifications & Experience:

    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical Engineering or a related field of study
    • 8 years' experience in water resources, civil, structural, or coastal engineering, with a focus on resiliency
    • Current PE license in California or the ability to obtain a CA PE license within six months of hire date Key Skills and Attributes:
      • Strong knowledge and experience with preparation and/or review of engineering plans to ensure that all aspects of project implementation are clearly conveyed.
      • Prior experience serving as a project manager for complex engineering or multi-disciplinary resiliency projects.
      • Detail-oriented, with experience in reviewing technical design calculations and construction drawings
      • Experienced in the coordination of work with engineers of other disciplines.
      • Solid experience working for municipal, industrial, state and/or federal client base in coastal resilience or a related area. Preferred Qualifications:
        • 20 years' progressive engineering experience.
        • Master's degree or PhD in Civil, Geotechnical or Structural Engineering or a related field of study.

          Arcadis offers benefits for full-time positions. We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start, and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $170,000.
