Position Management Consultant
Location: San Francisco, CA/Remote
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Description:
The Position Management Consultant will be responsible for
consulting with the business and stakeholders to guide them through
the change to enterprise-wide systematized position management.
The candidate shall have strong communication skills with high
attention to detail, outstanding time management and collaborative
skills, commitment to exceptional customer support and the ability
to build relationships at every level of the organization.
This person must be comfortable dealing with highly sensitive and
confidential matters.
Our ideal candidate enjoys working in a dynamic and high-growth
environment and has experience dealing with employee data in HR
Operations role supporting a variety of HR disciplines.
Responsibilities:
Serves as a subject matter expert on Workday Position Management
functionality with knowledge, skills, and experience needed to work
through day-to-day challenges.
Consult and guide Headcount Managers to learn and execute on the
new enterprise-wide systematized position management process
through virtual meetings and written communication.
Assist in creating and validating EIBs for Workday position
management
Assist in the verification and maintenance of position attributes
in Workday
Act as point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for all
things related to worker data and global standardization of key
processes and transactions
Support our centralized knowledge base within our employee portal;
identify and close knowledge gaps by creating, updating and
improving knowledge articles to keep information relevant for
employees
Liaise effectively and collaboratively with stakeholders and other
support teams to resolve issues
Troubleshoot business processes, calculated fields, business logic
and file loads
Maintain an appropriate level of process, program, and policy
knowledge in order to assist Headcount Managers
Support standard and ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards,
scorecards, and metrics for the team
Provide superior customer service to employees using our customer
service portal
Desired Experience/Skills:
3-4 years of HR experience required
Position Management experience is required, preferably with Workday
HCM (position management staffing model)
HCM Reporting experience required, Workday preferred
Experience with Workday integration types including EIB
Must have strong understanding of data integrity and data privacy
requirements
Proven problem-solving skills with a passion for technology,
process improvement, and continuous learning
Excellent verbal and written communication skills: concise,
articulate, and confident
Proven ability to diagnose a problem, informed by data and lead
correction efforts
Ability to prioritize competing priorities in a high-paced work
environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of job
responsibilities
Exceptional time management, organizational, prioritization and
follow-up skills
Additional Notes:

Enable managers of all levels on the rollout of position
management
Suggest and implement process improvements
Meet with managers regularly to consult on the position management
process and how it relates to their Org within the organization
Top 3-5 skill sets that would make a candidate stand out from the
rest
Ability to work in a fast pace environment
Consultant experience dealing with leaders of all levels
Previous experience with position management
Ability to take little information and move forward, as this is a
new process not everything is black and white
Any other critical details to note for our suppliers? (Team size,
candidates that have been in this role prior, different titles of
the role, etc.)
Team will be 5-6 employees
This is a new team being created specifically for the
implementation of position management at client
The team will be global 3-4 Employees in the US and 1 in Europe
