Job Description:
Join us, a rapidly growing and expert team leading the
development and construction of offshore wind projects around the
world. At Copenhagen Offshore Partners (COP), we operate in a

our renewable energy future. -We are looking for an experienced
Development Director to join our team of industry experts at
Copenhagen Offshore Partners. As Development Director, you will
lead early-stage development of our California offshore wind lease.
The ideal candidate will have team leadership experience, public
engagement capabilities, and be familiar with key stakeholders for
offshore wind projects in California. You -will oversee market
development efforts, permitting and stakeholder advancement and
engagement, local supply chain development, and transmission and
interconnection efforts. Our California offshore wind lease is an
early-stage project with a long development lead time. You will be
responsible for advancing project development in a complex new
market environment, overseeing team members, and overall project
management. This position is based in San Francisco, California,
with other -California -locations to be considered and report to
theChief Development Officer and Chief Commercial Officer. You will
drive activities such as: Advance the development of the lease
area, including initially advancing development of offtake
mechanisms, transmission solutions, and stakeholder and permitting
efforts. -Ensuring active and productive engagement with all
project stakeholders including federal, state and local
governments, tribes, offtake parties, grid operators, NGOs, fishing
community, etc. -Represent the project publicly in relevant forums.
-Defining and managing the overall development budget, project
scope, and time schedule while ensuring all project risks are
assessed, managed, and mitigated, as necessary. -Collaborating with
supply chain partners to evaluate port, logistics, and
manufacturing developments in California to facilitate project
procurement and construction Developing and delivering shareholder
presentations, reports, and materials. -Oversee and manage team
advancing objectives above. -Monitor new market development for
offshore wind on the US west coast -To succeed in this role, you
will have the following:A bachelor's degree or higher within a
relevant field from an accredited program. -10 + years experience
in the energy sector, preferably with renewable and California
experience in a relevant role or equivalent. -Project development
experience with large energy generation facilities, transmission
infrastructure, renewables, offshore oil and gas, or offshore
telecommunications. -Experience structuring and evaluating offtake
contracts and revenue models for energy projects -Track record in
navigating complex permitting environments for large projects
and/or new technologies Strong leadership skills as well as
organizational, networking, and time management skills. Excellent
written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to
present and communicate complex matters in a clear and concise
manner. -Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint. - About COP - COP
