Business Development Manager - North WestCompany Overview:Established in 1990, Europe Express specializes in providing high-quality, affordable travel to Europe. We build customized itineraries at competitive prices for all of your needs including air, hotel/villa, rail and car rental, sightseeing and pre/post cruise packages. With over two decades of experience, buying offices in Europe and a knowledgeable reservations team that has experienced the destinations first-hand; you are assured to have an outstanding experience every time you work with us. We have also led over 6,000 custom group trips, so we understand the complexity associated with group travel as well as the need for quick turnarounds.The Business Development Manager - North West -is responsible for building, supporting, strengthening and maintaining relationships with our travel agency account partners and advisors with the overall goal of growing revenue and advisor engagement. The focus for this position is to expand channels in a profitable manner to achieve company objectives!Territory:Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Northern Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska (primary focus on Northern CA, WA, CO and OR)What You Will Be Doing:

  • Identify and cultivate new travel agencies or advisors focusing on strategic accounts within preferred consortia or host account affiliations. Work closely with inside sales teams to use contacts and strengthen sales efforts
  • Handle existing relationships with accounts to continuously improve their performance
  • Serve as primary point of contact for accounts and Advisors in the assigned territory
  • Participate in tradeshows and sales events in the territory and national events as needed. Participate and host familiarization trips. Coordinate and lead travel, tradeshow and FAM attendance in conjunction with the VP of Sales & Partnerships and Strategic Host Account Manager.
  • Assist with resolution of customer service issues and communicate service-related feedback to management
  • Provide input for the creation of sales collateral, webinars, sales presentations, emails, newsletters and communicate initiatives coordinated by the marketing team
  • Maintain advisor database to ensure updated and accurate information for marketing initiatives
  • Prepare and update sales and territory plans as required
  • Run travel expense and discretionary marketing budgets per policies and complete expense and trip reportsWhat We Are Looking For:
    • Experience in the travel industry, with shown success in a sales role handling a multi-state territory, agency accounts and territory development. Experience and relationships with travel consortia advisors/agencies and Host Agency consultants (ICs) required.
    • Strong commercial competence, including understanding of wholesale tour operations, including commission structures, marketing plans, incentives, and overrides preferred
    • Knowledge of Europe leisure travel market and destinations preferred
    • Excellent public speaking skills and comfort delivering live and virtual presentations to individual agencies, large audiences, video calls and webinars
    • Social Media use for connection with Travel Advisors and ICs preferred
    • Experience with MS PowerPoint and Salesforce is considered a distinct advantage
    • Frequent overnight domestic travel and infrequent international travel required (encouraged to be in the field 3.5-4 days most weeks)Do you succeed in fast-paced sales environments and have a curiosity about multitasking and solving challenges?
