POSITION AVAILABLE: Project Manager
STUDIO OVO is a women + minority led team of architects that designs homes, restaurants, and offices throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. As a design-forward studio, we partner with our clients to create functional, personal, timeless spaces and guide them through the process from beginning to end. We are seeking a full-time (salaried) Project Manager to join our small but growing team. Our studio currently operates remotely with occasional in-person meetings. THE POSITION
The Project Manager position is equal parts creative and technical and is a vital part of our team. Assuming a primary role in leading projects, the Project Manager contributes a strong design voice in our collaborative studio and has the experience to manage working drawings. Technical experience putting together a set of construction documents and details is a must, but successful candidates must also show great skill in supporting clients by being highly organized and great communicators.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  
• Assist in all stages of design and construction including interaction with clients, contractors and regulatory agencies
  
• Lead and manage the production of drawing sets including those for permit submission, design development, and construction documents
  
• Coordinate with design teams and consultants
  
• Perform contract administration and on-site construction-related work
  
• Research codes, materials, and new construction methods
  
  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  
  • 
    
  • Professional Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Architecture
    
  • 6-8 years of architecture experience, of which 2-3 years of experience with residential design in the Bay Area is preferred
    
  • Demonstrated experience with Construction Documents & detailing
    
  • References who will speak to your ability to work well remotely & manage time effectively
    
  • Proficiency with Revit required. Strong modeling & drafting skills
    
  • Proficiency with Google Suite applications
    
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    
    • 
      
    • On a path to architectural licensure. LEED AP or other green certification preferred
      
    • Confidence in all phases of a project, including Construction Administration
      
    • Familiarity with wood frame, Type V construction techniques and detailing
      
    • Highly organized and detail oriented
      
    • Excellent design and communication skills
      
    • Strong graphic and verbal presentation skills. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator)
      
    • Outstanding design talent & strong collaboration skills
      
    • Service industry experience, such as working in a restaurant or a hospitality field, is a bonus
