We are looking for an experienced senior data product manager to help define our data pipelines and platform, with experience in cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a background of working with data platforms and technology to drive a vision, assess business priorities and goals and create a backlog to deliver, and define solutions to expand our transformation to an entirely modern and cloud-based architecture. They will leverage their knowledge to support analytics, data science, and reporting teams to deliver scalable solutions and workflow experiences. They will work across product and engineering teams to keep up to date on our current and upcoming capabilities to be able to recommend solutions to drive our strategy.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Product Definition and Domain Knowledge
  • Create and manage agile development backlogs for data teams with engineers of various levels. Support quarterly planning and strategic vision
  • Able to partner closely with engineering to understand technical trade-offs and architecture to effectively influence product design
  • Learn and expand knowledge of cloud-based data solutions, manage internal products and processes, and collaborate across the business with other teams to create data-centered solutions
  • Measurement of business effectiveness with KPIs and clear metrics. Able to define and measure product impact with a technical product suite
  • Good understanding of data privacy and protection, compliance and how to deliver compliant, repeatable solutions with IT operations
  • Planning and Project Management
  • Manages projects across multiple product teams to planned milestones. Communicates progress to partners proactively
  • Plans for project risks and critical choke points with guidance. Understands how to use Agile Scrum methods to manage the unexpected and improve velocity
  • Works closely with Project Managers to define risks, solutions, and manage dependencies between teams
  • Collaboration and Partnership
  • Persuade peers and project partners. Present clearly and be comfortable in the spotlight. Present the right information at the right level based on audience. Answer questions from executives confidently and accurately
  • Collaborate with functional leads in Data Engineering, Data Science, and Architecture to build killer data products and services
  • Bridge business and technical worlds very well, a good conceptual problem solver to articulate opportunities and solutions
  • Meet with internal product and engineering teams to understand how they are consuming our data and how the data can be improved to meet their needsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in product management role, supporting web and mobile-based products across the entire product lifecycle
  • 3+ years of Agile experience as a product owner, breaking down requirements into stories and working collaboratively with developers in teams
  • 1+ years of experience writing real production SQL and managing data migrations
  • 1+ years of experience working with data platforms and tools such as AWS, Azure, Spark, Tableau, and HadoopPreferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Communication, strategy, and collaboration
  • Very solid SQL skills and familiarity with data products
  • Solid analytics, strategic, and critical thinking skills
  • Solid understanding of product prioritization
  • Self-directed and solid personal initiative and accountability

The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900.
