About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking an Experience Design
Manager...In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop teams that maximize quality, efficiency and
productivity
- Evaluate the User Experience Design according to established
policies and procedures of the organization
- Work with clients to define issues and information needs and
translating them into specific data/technical requirements to
support business initiatives and projects
- Determine the required capabilities, tools and data
- Leverage and develop multiple internal or external information
sources
- Evaluate, recommend and implement strategies for developing and
utilizing technical and analytic resources to enable initiatives
that predict, improve, support and measure business success
- Maintain necessary processes, controls and procedures to ensure
data accuracy and integrity
- Ensure adherence to data management and data governance
regulations and policies
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including
more experienced managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for the
User Experience Design group
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and
assist in hiring talentRequired Qualifications, US:
- 4+ years of Website or Application Design experience, or
equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the
following: work experience, training, military experience,
education

- The Design Manager leads, grows, and inspires a small team
responsible for a major area of work (Shop, Apply, Set Up, Core
Banking, etc.), and, in partnership with Product Management and
Engineering Leadership, establishes the vision, direction, and
plans for delivering the end-to-end experience. Success comes from
understanding the customer and business needs, strong collaboration
with your peers, navigating a complex enterprise, providing
guidance and coaching for the team along the way, and overseeing
shipping delightful and empowering product experiences.Who We Are

- You have experience leading a team with proven success in
delivering great experiences that cross mobile, web, and
beyond.
- Though it may be a while since you've been hands on, you
maintained expertise in 1 and strengths in 2 or more key areas:
Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Visual Design,
Content Strategy, and User Research. User-centered problem-solving
tools are used to identify new opportunities for value
creation.
- You focus your attention on the big picture, but can dive into
the details when needed.
- You compel and persuade people of the robustness of your
strategic proposals through storytelling.
- You have connected and coordinated disparate parts of the
organization to mobilize real change.
- You not only coach designers and design managers, but you lead
and coach cross-functionally across product development.
- You coordinate effort within your team and across product
development, tying them together in service of the larger
end-to-end experience.Responsibilities
- Leading the design of end-to-end experiences, in partnership
with cross-functional peers, in one of the following areas: online
and mobile banking, payments, financial education, and
onboarding.
- Overseeing user-centered processes and methods, both internal
to design and cross-functionally, to ensure that work is delivered
at an established level of quality.
- Working with designers to establish coherence across their
efforts, reviewing their work to ensure it is up to quality
standards.
- Overseeing and taking part in the creation of strategic design
deliverables, including: research insights, strategy decks,
customer journeys, visions of future experiences.
- Providing mentorship and other guidance to designers to deliver
their best work.
- Partnering closely with leadership across product development,
to drive alignment on customer and business goals, developing
programs of work to achieve those goals, and focusing efforts of
the teams on what really matters.
- Working with design leads to prepare and plan for oncoming work
and establishing achievable estimates.
- Working with product development leadership peers to identify
the 'big rocks' to tackle.
- Attracting top talent through prior work and industry activity;
active in recruiting, hiring, and retaining members in their
organization.
- Supporting the professional development of team members through
mentorship, coaching, and connecting them with resources.As an
