Senior Technical Project Manager in the Cinema Exhibition Playback
Group, you are responsible for managing Software and Hardware
imaging technology projects throughout the entire project lifecycle
(inception, design, development, integration and test, trial and
deployment). You act as a liaison with appropriate company
personnel, development partners and vendors to ensure project
compliance to standards. You lead and drive multiple complex high
priority projects. You assure feature and functionality and
performance metrics requirements are defined. You initiate,
facilitate and monitor specific inter/intra-departmental partners,
external development partners, and vendors for project progress and
performance to assure quality and on time delivery. You ensure that
milestone dates are met. You monitor risks during various stages of
the project and escalate issues to the appropriate level of
management. You maintain project status reports on projects. You
create and manage contingency plans for projects. You estimate and
manage budgets. You evaluate impact change request against
communicated timelines. You have in-depth experience, knowledge and
skills in various cross functional disciplines. You act as a
resource for colleagues in need and mentor those who have less
experience.You possess proven project management skills and
demonstrate experience leading multiple small to large projects at
the same time. You are expected to be versatile and thrive in a
dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. You are not hindered by

teams.ResponsibilitiesLead initiatives and cross-team projects with
little guidance, focused on tactical time frame followed by prompt
meeting minutes.Accountable for large teams/workstreams and
multiple smaller ones within the Business Group from project
conception to product deployment and maintenance.Drive action items
from various meetings to closure in a timely manner.Manage third
party development partners/vendors with multi-directional
development workstreams within each project.Author and review
Statements of Work with development partners, coordinate with Legal
correspondences between parties, issue Purchase Orders and process
invoices.Understand underlying technical architecture and
technologies of owned development, and have the ability to
communicate it to both technical and non-technical
parties.Responsible for creating detail work breakdown project
schedule from scratch for all phases of the product development
lifecycle: analyzing the sequence and correlation of tasks and
their dependencies, identifying gaps and critical paths.Conduct
deep-dive schedule discussion with the project team while
collecting task status update, adjust and reduce delays without
overall project impact, pinpoint and mitigate risks, raise alarm on
major schedule delays.Coordinate and monitor closely on small- to
large-scale shipments between various office locations, offsite
warehouse and vendors/suppliers to ensure timely delivery of
goods/equipment.Co-ordinate perceptual tests to evaluate the
performance of new technologies: research and book venues;
co-ordinate test content between departments; plan and execute
viewing tests and organize results.Asset management: maintain
inventory of laboratory hardware tools, parts and equipment; locate
missing items.Process returned goods according to vendors/suppliers
RMA process.Coach and guide cross-functional teams on Dolby Product
Lifecycle Management guidelines; release documentation processes,
tools requirements, business requirement, specifications and
disciplines.Provide input to budget planning; monitor spending and
ensure projects expenses are under control.RequirementsMasters
degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar degree is a
preferred.PMI PMP Certification with current credential preferred,
CSM Scrum Master Certification desirable.At least 10 years of
Project Management experience running large scale complex Hardware
and Software projects.Strong documentation skills.Highly organized,
responsive, effective and composed even under high pressure, with a
heavy workload and in a stressful environment.Ability to multi-task
while maintaining focus; results driven; excellent time management
skills.A clear understanding of the Project Management processes,
strategies and methods.A deep understanding of what makes an
effective project process, with the ability to adapt to the
individual project team to meet the needs at hand and in harmony
with the team.Proficient in facilitating group project meetings
including diverse disciplines and development cultures.Knowhow in
Engineering, QA, Product Compliance and Homologation, and Field
Operations and Support.Capable to guide the development and review
of technical documentation such as PRD, Engineering spec, test
plans and technical agreements.Practical experience in managing
vendors/suppliers in development and harvesting relationships.The
ability to be able to foreseen challenges and obstacles.Proficient
in identifying, communicating, and mitigating risks for projects.An
expert in various scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project and
Smartsheet; proficient in MS Office suite especially Excel and
savvy in using various software or online tools.Fully proficient in
authoring and communicating status updates and risk assessments for
multiple projects or workstreams.Experience with imaging and
display, or similar technologies, and their development processes
and deliverables would be desirable.A sense of personal
accountability when it comes to both decision-making and
supervising teams.Strong managerial skills in a matrix
organization: problem-solving and conflict resolution.#LI-VH1Dolby
