PayJoy is hiring an Accounting Manager in San Francisco to join our fast-paced, exciting, and talented team. As a member of the SF Accounting team, you will have the opportunity to help build and stream-line our internal accounting function for our growing global operations. You will report to the Director of Accounting in San Francisco, and partner with a growing accounting team in Mexico, Brazil, South Africa and with senior management members around the globe to improve and automate our accounting processes. You have a demonstrated track record of experience in accounting and tax, possess outstanding communication skills, and share our mission to expand access to finance to the next billion consumers worldwide. Responsibilities

• Maintain records in accordance with accounting standards, including impacts of new or changes to existing standards
• Oversee subsidiary merchant reconciliation process and assist with communications to resolve outgoing and incoming payment issues
• Manage timely accounting close and consolidation, including data requests from related parties and external accountants
• Develop staff and manage performance, setting goals and providing ongoing trainingIncrease efficiency and automate manual processes to improve scalability
• Manage and contribute to onboarding entities from mergers or acquisitionsMaintain compliance with tax regulations and deadlines Requirements
  • 6-8 years of combined experience in public accounting and in an accounting department of a lending institution or in the fintech industry
  • CPA -Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Superb attention to detail and time management skills
  • Fluent in Spanish is good to have
  • Prior experience working with NetSuite
  • Prior experience with SQL
  • Experience with IFRS 16 - Leases and IFRS 9 - Financial Instruments
  • Knowledge of various LATAM accounting and tax rules and regulations
  • Portuguese fluency
