Job Description:
The Regional Operations Manager implements customer specific
industrial solutions operational plans that ensure increased
efficiency, reduce costs, and manage and streamline allocated
resources to ensure the company achieves key business metrics and
sales growth projections. Key Responsibilities
- Implements and administers operational processes and ensures
they are completed accurately, on time and in compliance with
established policies and regulations.
- Tracks Casella owned assets and equipment, including "in-use"
and "unused" assets, by customer and location and collaborates with
Controller team to update maintain current information, track
preventative maintenance requirements and gain operational
performance insight leading to streamlined business
operations.
- Deploys customer equipment adhering to installation
requirements and schedules site visits with perspective client and
account managers to gain proper understanding of equipment needs,
installation requirements, and determines a timely schedule for
equipment installation.
- Provides coaching and development opportunities to employees to
ensure the opportunity for personal and professional growth.
- Inspires and motivates a team of operations associates to
achieve daily productivity standards and overall service capacity
goals in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
- Implements and maintains operational best practices and key
performance indicators (KPIs) for managing inventory and
productivity across all customer programs and sites to ensure
output meets expectations and service capacity goals are
achieved.
- Assists the National Operations Manager in developing budgeting
and forecasting information as well as identifying monthly impacts
to profit and loss (P&L) statements.
- Supports strategic staffing and redundancy planning initiatives
in addition to evaluation of on-site operations for resource needs
and working with internal and external stakeholders to bring
resource changes to fruition.
- Provides leadership to operations team by effectively
communicating, establishing clear goals and objectives, coaching
team members on achieving goals, ensuring access to training and
development opportunities that assist employees in attaining the
necessary skills to achieve team and corporate results.
- Participates in training and other learning opportunities to
expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and
performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill
our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
- Ensures compliance with all company, state, and federal
policies, regulations, and laws regarding employment and employee
safety. Education, Experience & Qualifications The successful
candidate will have an Associate's Degree in Industrial Arts or
equivalent years of experience. 3-5 years of industrial operations
manufacturing experience, a minimum of 1 year equipment operation
experience, and experience working in a mature safety culture is
required. A valid driver's license and a valid CDL license or the
ability to obtain one is necessary. The physical ability to lift
30lbs frequently and 65lbs. occasionally and stand for up to 8
hours a day is expected. Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and
formal presentation skills, proficient use of Office 365 and other
related platforms, and an ability to work under pressure and meet
deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and provide
exemplary customer service are required. Knowledge of equipment
operation(forklift, ox truck, grinder) and lock out tag out
procedures is necessary. Although not required, a Bachelor's Degree
in industrial arts and experience and/or interest in an
environmental and/or sustainability field is preferred. Attributes
