PBL has an immediate opening for a Facilities Manager in the Facilities department. The Facilities Manager has overall responsibility for ensuring that facilities are managed and maintained to in proper working condition to support laboratory and business operations. The Facilities Manager will report to the CEO and will manage facilities staff/contractors in support of facilities operations. Specific responsibilities of the Facilities Manager include:
Responsible for assessing, recommending, and implementing proper maintenance of all facilities such as HVAC, cold rooms, DI water systems and bathrooms, and support maintenance activities as they relate to manufacturing equipment. Responds promptly to requests for building maintenance, repairs, cleaning needs, and for implementation of ongoing contracts and resolving facility needs and problems
Responsible for coordinating and scheduling building related inspections with appropriate agencies, including regular fire extinguisher and sprinkler inspections
Acts as primary contact with building contractors and security company to determine and maintain proper maintenance, security, and upkeep of building
Responsible to ensure facilities comply with Environmental, Health and Safety Program requirements. Responsible to inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment, and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards
Work with Operations leadership to execute all new building projects and enhancements
Ensure all contractors utilized for building projects are properly licensed and that all City and/or County codes are met
Responsible for cleanliness of the buildings (i.e., janitorial, garbage, and recycle removal, etc.)
Responsible for assuring that the facility follows local, state, federal and company regulatory standards and policies. Remains current on OSHA, DOT, EPA, and State/Local Regulators
Other duties as assigned by Management

Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment
Attention to detail and good organizational skills
High-level of verbal communication skills
Moderate-level computer skills
Demonstrates independent judgement in resolving problems and making recommendations
Basic understanding of GMP and its application to the job
Experience working with mechanical systems, manufacturing equipment and management of facility functions
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Five to eight (5-8) years of work-related Facilities experience. General knowledge of standard building utilities and general contracting activity
Four (4) years of professional experience in a comprehensive environmental health and safety program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. A benefits package including medical, dental and 401(k) is also offered.
