About the role - As a Senior Director, you will be responsible for the strategic and tactical management of the IT and Security functions at Syapse covering the technology services we provide to our employees and ensuring the security of our corporate and customer assets. A strong track record of leveraging technology to modernize and optimize business processes to enable scale will be critical for success in this role. To be successful, you will need to be an experienced technology/security leader with the ability to get hands-on when needed in driving strategic projects. Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic & operational leadership for IT and Security functions spanning corporate assets and customer environments for Syapse
  • Create a highly efficient operating model that balances security operations with product delivery and customer commitments
  • Build and drive vision for service-driven IT organization in partnership with departmental leaders to provide end-user support services spanning collaboration solutions, hardware support, asset management, mobile-device management and user education & empowerment
  • Drive modernization of the IT tooling and systems for our employees in a "remote-first" environment enabling highly productive (and secure) workforce
  • Partner across departments to align infrastructure, internal support and resources to execute on various IT and Security priorities and related business needs
  • Ensure appropriate operational security & IT processes, procedures and standards are in place to support all business-facing applications and related technologies as well as our customer-facing environments
  • Take hands-on role in leading complex projects and security initiatives in the roadmap as well as ongoing compliance and certification requirements (e.g. HITRUST, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Work closely with audit and security leadership to ensure cybersecurity and audit policies/practices are aligned with tolerated risk -
  • Play a critical role as a member of the data governance team, evolving data use, data privacy and data management policies for the enterprise
  • Engage with external auditors and third-party firms to validate adequate control -Measures are identified and in-place to address relevant regulatory and security requirements
  • Leverage managed-services and consulting expertise as appropriate to support efforts across IT and Information Security
  • Support executive leadership in annual planning, budgeting, status reporting, executive presentations and continuous improvement
  • Liaise with systems integrators, IT partners and business departments to coordinate implementation activities What you bring to the table -
    • 10+ years pragmatic experience in Information Security and IT spanning senior leadership/executive roles -
    • Adept at influencing peers to foster collaboration and deliver value to internal/external customers
    • Capable player turned coach spanning security and information technology responsibilities end-end and not just policy definition
    • Excellent executive communication skills with ability to deliver information tailored to the audience at multiple levels
    • Leadership experience in the healthcare industry or other heavily regulated industry
    • Experience owning the security posture of a company or large division
    • Experience in external audits & security reviews is required. (I.e. HITRUST, HIPAA, SOX, etc.)
    • Experience with cloud services and cloud Infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) -
