Job Description

This role will be based in San Francisco, New York, or Chicago.

The LinkedIn Marketing Solutions (LMS) Sales Team is looking for a Sales Manager to lead an amazing team of Account Executives and Client Solutions Managers. If you have a passion for developing top talent and achieving sales goals, we want to talk to you! For this role, you will be responsible for growing our business in the Software and Technology industries, by bringing LinkedIns full-funnel Marketing Solutions to marketers to accelerate results against their key business and marketing objectives.

Our managers live the LinkedIn Culture and Values,helping build and grow the team. While sales leadership is the core function of the role, you will work with the leadership team to set strategy and create a sound operational infrastructure that sets the business up to scale. You will coach Account Executives and Client Solutions Managers on strategic solution selling and engage directly with Advertisers and Agencies. Finally, you will partner closely with Sales Operations, Marketing, Product and Agency Relations teams to solve business challenges.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Inspire a team - The successful Sales Manager is an inspiring People Manager with a passion for Sales Coaching and Operations. You will leverage your vision to identify growth opportunities for the team and business. You will influence relevant internal stakeholders to drive innovation and performance excellence while keeping your customers best interests in mind. You will identify and evangelize best practices for go-to-market and team operations.
  • Drive Engagement -With your team, you will establish trusted relationships with our customers and empower your team to provide high quality customer engagement activities (events, training, quarterly business reviews, consultative meetings). You will have the opportunity to engage in executive customer discussions. You need to understand customers working environment and the best way to foster success with the LinkedIn Marketing Solutions offerings and identify and eliminate challenges through this relationship building process.
  • Drive Revenue and Results- Proactively identify areas of growth opportunity for the business, team, and our customers. Launch new ideas and iterate until you find the right recipe for success. Being able to influence and develop others without direct reporting relationships is critical. You will work on team and business projects as needed.
  • Elevate the Overall Customer Experience- We place great emphasis on delivering an exceptional customer experience and it is the job of the Sales Manager to make sure we support our customers business with excellence.We want our customers to want to work with us because they love our products and doing business with us.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, customer success, marketing or business development
    • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
    • Experience with coaching and developing Account Executives and/or Client Success/Solutions Managers or relevant experience

      Preferred Qualifications:
      • 2+ years of people management experience with demonstrated success in achieving sales targets
      • Leading teams/peers in the Media, Digital Advertising, Agency or MarTech space
      • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders with strategic, cross-functional and process improvement projects
      • Demonstrated ability to execute complex initiatives and projects
