Position Summary:The Accounting Revenue Manager will oversee revenue accounting monthly close process and assist in managing and coordinating all aspects of the company's revenue recognition process end to end. In this important role, the Accounting Revenue Manager will partner with the Business Development, Revenue Operations, and Project Management Teams, to optimize business outcomes while ensuring accurate revenue recognition. The Accounting Revenue Manager will serve as the technical accounting expert in applying ASC 606, documenting accounting conclusions for each revenue stream, establishing processes to ensure proper accounting treatment, and designing and maintaining effective internal controls throughout the revenue recognition process. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support billing team members
  • Support the revenue recognition process end to end, including contract review, analyze and conclude on accounting treatment, execute operational and accounting processes, record monthly revenue and revenue-related entries and prepare meaningful monthly revenue reporting to drive business insights
  • Continuously improve the quality of the revenue recognition process and develop revenue related KPIs that are meaningful to senior management
  • Act as the ASC 606 subject matter expert, providing guidance and strategy on technical revenue recognition matters
  • Manage the setup of new Items in ERP (NetSuite) and ongoing maintenance of the Item master
  • Compile and provide audit work papers as requested by auditors
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures applying to multiple subsidiaries, identify gaps and risks, design and implement effective internal controls to mitigate identified gaps and risks
  • Support performance management, training and development needs of direct reports
  • Partner with strategic and business planning counterparts to provide input in the budgeting and forecasting process and the review of operational results
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
    • 7+ years of relevant experience in a professional services environment, preferred
    • 2 years of experience managing staff
    • CPA a plus
    • Knowledge of ASC 606 principles, and a strong understanding of US GAAP
    • Experience with NetSuite & Salesforce preferable (other ERP & CRM knowledge beneficial)
    • Ability to identify inherent risks and propose areas for improvements on existing and new processes
    • Solid understanding of the concepts of internal control design and operational effectiveness
    • Strong understanding and use of Microsoft Excel
    • Consistent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong communication skills - including ability to influence decisions and interact across multiple cross functional teams
    • Ability to work independently and the motivation to manage challenges in a dynamic environment Physical Requirements
